- What if I can’t draw?
This watercolour experience is beginner friendly, so don’t worry even if you can’t draw. Our instructor will advise you on the difficulty of the pictures and guide you through the drawing process.
- What's the difference between watercolour workshops and watercolour experience?
For watercolour workshops: The instructor will provide step-by-step guidance and help you complete the artwork at a suitable pace. The image is based on the workshop you chose for teaching purposes.
For Watercolour Experience: You can choose any image from our reference collection or select your favourite picture to try online. Our instructor is available to offer insights and gentle guidance, adjusting their support to match your pace. Enjoy the process!
However, please keep in mind that you may not be able to complete the artwork in one session. Some images may require multiple sessions to finish.
- Can I bring my own images?
Sure, as long as it meets your expected time frame and difficulty level. Don't worry; our instructor will advise you.
- Can other people sit in with their friends?
Unfortunately, studio space is limited so we can only allow participants who have signed up for this activity.
- How can I frame up my artwork?
- Always make sure art work is completely dried
- Buy a nice frame from IKEA/Daiso
- Place art work within frame and frame border, and hang it up on your wall!
- Is watercolour water and dust proof?
Watercolour pigments are water-soluble, which means that they dissolve in water. Your painting is NOT waterproof even after it dries, so make sure to keep it away from water! It is also a good idea to keep it out of direct sunlight so the pigments stay vibrant. Watercolour is not dust proof. Dust can and will gather on your painting if you leave it out in the open. We recommend framing your beloved painting up to protect it from dust and accidents. (Also, why not hang up your masterpiece and show it to the world?)
- How do I remove dust on my watercolour
painting?
- Make sure your watercolour painting is completely dry
- Use a soft brush (it can be a paintbrush as well) and make sure it is COMPLETELY DRY
- Gently dust off anything on the surface of your watercolour painting with the dry brush. Make sure that there are no wet spots/droplets of water on the paper or brush, otherwise your painting will smudge!
- What if I screw up my artwork? Can I redo?
A big part of learning and experimenting is messing up! Don't worry, our instructor will be able to advise on how you can further proceed.
- Can I bring some materials home to practice?
You can buy them from our art store too!
- Do you sell art materials?
Yes we do :)
- Is watercolour toxic?
Watercolour paints contain pigments and chemicals as all store-bought paints do. These usually contain low toxicity levels, but it’s all good as long as you don’t attempt o lick, taste or ingest the paint!
- Can I not do watercolour, but bring my own craft materials and rent the space to work?
As much as we would like to have a space for all creatives and artists to hang out, studio space is limited! We will not able to offer this when art jamming sessions or workshops are happening, so as to provide our lovely participants with the best experience and space.
