  Whether you're just beginning your watercolour journey or looking to enhance your on-location skills, this immersive workshop is a chance to slow down, observe more deeply, and connect with your subject in real time. Kanchan Mehendale is a self taught, contemporary artist. Born in Mumbai, India, she currently lives in the beautiful garden city of Singapore. A versatile artist, her artworks span different subjects & ideas. She paints with acrylics, oils and watercolours.

She enjoys the finer aspects of working with each medium – acrylics, oils and watercolours; and swapping between them constantly challenges her creativity and in her words “Keeps her on her toes”! She paints instinctively, usually beginning with a simple emotion, belief or memory and portrays it on a canvas.

Her inspirations are mostly from nature, people, emotions, memories, things we see and what we revere. Kanchan’s art not only helps capture a home’s personality, but also captivates and entralls the viewer.

She has participated in multiple group exhibitions and her artworks have found homes all around the world. Her versatility in using different mediums and ability to paint a large variety of themes and subjects has helped build a large portfolio of artworks. She collaborates with clients to develop their ideas and create commissioned artworks.

• If the session has to be cancelled, participants will be informed within 3 days before the session. 
   
• Refunds will not be issued if students are unable to attend lessons. However, you may transfer your session to another individual if you are unable to attend.

All Art Materials Provided by the Studio

• 5 sheets of 300gsm watercolour paper (19.5cm x 27.5cm)
• 6 watercolour brushes
• Portable palette with Cotman watercolour paints
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Clip
• A4 grey chipboard

Things that you need to bring.
1. Please carry a bottle of water (about 500 ml) that you can use for painting purposes.

2. Other optional things to carry: hat, portable stool/chair, drinking water.

1. What happens if it rains? 
Our sessions take place in a sheltered area, so you’ll be covered in light rain. However, we recommend bringing a raincoat or umbrella in case the weather changes.

2. Do you provide portable chairs?
Unfortunately, we don’t provide portable chairs at this time. While we understand they can make sessions more comfortable, we currently don’t have the storage capacity to supply them.

3. Can I join if I have no drawing or painting experience?
We recommend having some basic experience in sketching or painting, as it can help you get the most out of the session. That said, a willingness to experiment and enjoy the creative process is always welcome!

4. What if I'm late for the session?
Our classes begin promptly at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, you’re still welcome to join in, but please note you might not have enough time to complete your piece. You're more than welcome to continue working on it at home. We also appreciate a quick WhatsApp message if you’re running behind.
