Faye Marie
Art Instructor (Workshops, Art Jamming, Children Classes)
Faye is a practising artist and experienced art instructor at Artify Studio, where she has taught both children and adults over several years. She holds a Diploma in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Singapore. Her practice spans a wide range of mediums, including oil and acrylic painting, watercolour, gouache, clay sculpture, charcoal drawing and oil pastels. Alongside teaching, she has been involved in mural projects and has exhibited her work at platforms such as Praxis Gallery and Frass Space. With a strong foundation in both traditional and contemporary techniques, Faye brings a thoughtful and well-rounded approach to guiding participants in their artistic development.

Quin
Art Instructor (Adult Workshops, Art Jamming, Children Classes)
Quin is a practising visual artist and experienced art instructor at Artify Studio, where she has taught both children and adults over several years. Alongside her teaching, she has contributed to mural projects and creates commissioned works as a freelance artist. Known for her calm and approachable manner, Quin provides clear technical guidance while encouraging confidence and personal expression in her students. She holds a Diploma in Contemporary Music from LASALLE College of the Arts, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to her practice. Beyond the visual arts, she is also an active performing musician, and performed with The Island Voices at the National Day Parade 2022.

Joie
Art Instructor (Adult Workshops, Art Jamming, Children Classes)
Joie Tan has been part of the Artify Studio family since 2015. A graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts (Class of 2017), she brings both artistic training and creative flair into her teaching.
Beyond the studio, Joie is also a Singaporean singer-songwriter, which adds a playful and expressive touch to her classes. Her teaching style is warm, fun and encouraging, creating a space where students feel comfortable to explore and grow.
Joie believes that art is not just about making something beautiful, but also about building confidence, patience and good character. Through her nurturing approach, she guides students to express themselves freely while developing important life skills along the way.
Her classes are often filled with laughter, curiosity and a gentle push to try something new.

Tan Jo Yi is an artist and educator who brings a thoughtful and approachable energy to every session. At Artify Studio, she leads art workshops and guided jamming sessions for adults, creating a safe, welcoming space where learners can explore art without pressure. Known for her calm presence and kind encouragement, Jo Yi helps participants build confidence and enjoy the creative process.
Jo Yi graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from NAFA and works across a range of mediums including linocut, silkscreen, painting, photography, and drawing. Whether you’re learning to carve prints or paint with confidence, Jo Yi’s sessions make creativity feel accessible and enjoyable.

Prisha
Art Instructor (Adult Workshops, Art Jamming, Children Classes)
Skilled in painting across various mediums, Valencia Prisha has several years of experience leading art workshops and guided art jamming sessions at Artify Studio. With her warm demeanor and encouraging approach, Prisha creates a calm, welcoming space where even complete beginners can feel at ease, explore new techniques, and enjoy the process of making art. Prisha had previously graduated with a Diploma in Architecture, and is presently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design at Lasalle College of the Arts.
Skilled in painting across various mediums, Valencia Prisha has several years of experience leading art workshops and guided art jamming sessions at Artify Studio. Since starting Artify Studio in 2014, she has guided countless beginners through accessible and enjoyable art sessions that focus on soft guidance, creative exploration, and building confidence. Her warm, down-to-earth teaching style has cultivated a loyal community of regular participants who value the studio’s welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Through Artify Studio, Jae has also led community art murals in collaboration with the People’s Association, and she continues to champion inclusive art-making through Artribe, the studio’s social impact arm. Artribe’s projects have received international and local recognition, winning Silver and Gold at the Anthem Awards 2022, and being named a finalist in the Design Business Chamber Singapore’s Design for Good Challenge 2020. Her efforts have been recognised in local media such as Channel News Asia, The Straits Times, and Shin Min Daily News, affirming her strong contribution to Singapore’s community arts landscape.

Kanchan
Resident Watercolour Instructor
Kanchan Mehendale is a self-taught contemporary artist, originally from Mumbai and now based in Singapore. Her work spans a wide range of subjects, with a practice rooted in curiosity and constant exploration.
She works across acrylics, oils and watercolours, enjoying the unique qualities each medium brings. Moving between them keeps her creative process fresh and, as she puts it, “keeps her on her toes”. Her paintings often begin with a simple feeling, memory or belief, which she intuitively translates onto canvas.
Kanchan draws inspiration from nature, people, emotions and everyday moments we might otherwise overlook. Her works are known to add warmth and personality to a space, while quietly drawing viewers in.
She has participated in multiple group exhibitions, with her artworks collected internationally. Alongside her personal practice, she also collaborates with clients to create meaningful commissioned pieces.

Dorothea
Resident Brush Calligraphy Instructor
Dorothea began teaching in 2015 and has captivated her students with her popular workshops on Brush Calligraphy and Loose Florals Watercolour. These workshops are renowned for their engaging and personalized approach.
Her workshops cover various artistic styles, including brush calligraphy, watercolour florals, and botanical illustration. Additionally, she offers private sessions in collaboration with different partners or for special events. Dorothea has previously worked with organization such as SCAPE Singapore, Bold At Work, AIA, and the Singapore Writer's Festival.

Kingyan
Human Resources Manager
King Yan is the backbone of Artify Studio’s operations, quietly keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. As the studio’s backend lead, she oversees policies, processes and day-to-day systems, ensuring that everything is structured, compliant and working as it should.
She manages internal frameworks, handles proposals, and keeps a close eye on the studio’s overall business health. With a strong focus on organisation and sustainability, King Yan plays a key role in supporting Artify’s growth and stability.
Known for her steady approach and attention to detail, she ensures that the creative side of the studio is well-supported

Art Instructor (Adult Workshops, Art Jamming, Children Classes)
Melanie is a passionate and dedicated arts educator with hands-on experience across a wide range of media, including acrylic, oil, watercolour, and craft-based materials such as clay. With two years of teaching experience, she has guided and facilitated engaging, learner-centred art sessions for both young people and adults in 2023.
After a fulfilling career in science, Melanie is returning to the arts with a renewed focus, blending creative thinking and curiosity with a structured, supportive approach to learning. She is committed to nurturing students’ artistic growth, confidence, and enjoyment of the creative process.
Melanie is a passionate and dedicated arts educator with hands-on experience across a wide range of media, including acrylic, oil, watercolour, and craft-based materials such as clay. With two years of teaching experience, she has guided and facilitated engaging, learner-centred art sessions for both young people and adults in 2023.

She previously worked as an art administrator at NAFA, giving her a strong understanding of both the creative and organisational sides of the art world. Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Master’s in Creative Industry Management from the University of St Andrews.
Beyond the arts, she has also worked as a counsellor for two years, which shapes her calm, empathetic and student-focused approach. She believes art can be a gentle yet powerful way for individuals to express themselves, build confidence and find balance.
Her classes are supportive, reflective and quietly encouraging, offering a safe space to explore creativity.
